LOVE

After more than ten fulfilling, magical years beginning in the good old days of 2012, Hello Pretty is retiring and heading off to the beach with a drink with a tiny umbrella.

Today I purchased this awesome WTF from Bokke & Blomme at The Bay Harbour market in Hout Bay, Cape Town
Cost: R45 / $5.50
Things that we love today: Andy Gilmore! What we especially love is his choice of colour. Be doing yourself a favour and look at the enlarged version.
A little while ago I found 31 & Change and I’m smitten. They’re doing something I’ve always wanted to do: bringing old furniture back to life with some sandpaper, some love and some colour (which, in my opinion, they have selected impeccably). Their site describes themselves as “a Brooklyn-based furniture company that designs with a twist, a wink and a smile in mind.”
Please click through to their awesome little site and look at some of their other incredible one-of-a-kind pieces.
Unrelated… last Monday in April, hm. How in the heck… ?
This excites us!
"It’s a bit Japanese, it’s sweetly feminine, a little Folky, a tad popp-y, and just a little bit mad!" - Heather Moore of Skinny laMinx. How appropriate on the eve of my trip to Japan).
Thanks Heather. Thanks for being awesome.

The current object of my affection: New Moon Africa's iKapa coat rack. Trying to work out how to fit this into our studio apartment - I must have it! Don’t remember the name of the store right at the moment but I know that there is a place at the Old Biscuit Mill who carries them and if memory serves they are in the region of R350.
This is going to be the Hello Pretty blog. As you can see, you have caught us with curlers still in our hair and our make up not yet applied!
