Hello Pretty is Winding Down

After more than ten fulfilling, magical years beginning in the good old days of 2012, Hello Pretty is retiring and heading off to the beach with a drink with a tiny umbrella.

Unique Decor Pieces

I love how adding a small piece of décor into your home can really make a difference. With the interior decorating business booming, there are so many products available, meaning we can pick and choose from such a wide range. People are creating unique, interesting and fun décor pieces that will give your home that modern and fresh look.

I’ve found a few interesting décor pieces on Hello Pretty, that are different and fascinating and they could almost be classified as art pieces.

I love the hexagonal shelves from Drift and Pine, they are perfect for a little revamp. You can place other pieces of décor on them that were otherwise scattered around the room.  How cute is the Mr Bolt pipe lamp from Quanto -E -Bello for a boy’s room, it almost looks like a transformer!

Drift and Pine have another piece that is unique, fun and incorporates a bit of nature; the flower bud forest (penta table) is perfect for a coffee table. I think having coasters on a coffee table is very important and looks good too, I love the honeycomb coasters from Leg Studios.
These wall hooks from Lovilee are both functional and will look great in a bathroom, cloakroom or entrance hall!

I think it’s time to add a few pieces to my house, the hexagonal shelves are the first on my list.

Brighten Up Your Space with Art On Hello Pretty

A simple piece of art can really transform your space into something amazing. Whether it’s in your bedroom, office or lounge; putting up a piece of art is always a good idea.

There are so many art pieces to choose from all over the world, literally for any preference. Hello Pretty features some beautiful pieces, and here are my favourites.

The ‘Vlerksleep’ drawing from Janet Botes is beautiful, it’s simple and perfect if you are going for a neutral look.

Georgie by Mermaids & Monsters is perfect for a child’s room, what’s not to love about a cute, baby giraffe?

I love anything to do with flowers, so this beautiful Rose painting by Helga McLeod is ideal.

For something unique, I really like the Pangolin artwork by Adele van Heerden.

If you want to add a bit of colour, Through the windows and doors 3 by Berelowitz Paintings and Art Work, is a great choice.

Superfront- Making The Ordinary, Extraordinary.

If you have ever been in an Ikea, you’ll know how wonderful it is to get lost in there. Wouldn’t it be great to get that piece of furniture you wanted and to jazz it up a bit? Superfront has you covered!

The Swedish company designs and manufactures a range of products that fit Ikea’s common cabinets. This includes; legs, handles, fronts, tops and sides. They make their products from materials like marble, leather, copper, brass and birch.

Superfront has a great colour palette from which you can choose your new front. They also have really cool colour names like Lime Pie Yellow and Grannie Pink, so what’s not to like?

Their products, which can be used throughout the house, are really beautiful. Superfront gives you the opportunity to create your own unique furniture and brings out the designer in you.

Introducing Left Collective

Digital tapestries
Design Mate wallpaper

Shara Mordt, a surface pattern and interior designer who founded Design Mate in 2011, has recently introduced Hello Pretty to her latest collaborative project called Left collective.

Larger digital tapestries

Left Collective is a collaborative design studio specializing in product design, graphic design and interior design. Shara along with the design collaborators have recently started designing unique bespoke decor products and they have just launched their latest product... Digital tapestries!

Stripe tapestry

Tapestries are a versatile and unique way to change up any plain space. Left Collective's digitally printed monochromatic tapestries are printed on 100% pure cotton.

We love the idea of being able to spruce up a room so easily without having to worry about the permanence (or cost) of paint and other drastic measures. Tapestries easily transform a space by adding an artistic element to the room as well as adding more space, or at least creating the impression thereof in the room.
