Hello Pretty is Winding Down

After more than ten fulfilling, magical years beginning in the good old days of 2012, Hello Pretty is retiring and heading off to the beach with a drink with a tiny umbrella.

Hello Pretty

Mirror, Mirror On The Wall…

I do sometimes wonder what people did without mirrors long ago. These days we have mirrors everywhere in our homes; from the bedroom to the bathroom and even in the hallway or lounge. They are very handy but also look very pretty in the home.

I love how designers have come up with beautiful designs and ideas for mirrors, they are functional but make great décor pieces too. If you have read my post about clocks on the Hello Pretty blog, you’ll know that I love pieces that have many functions.

There are some beautiful mirrors available on Hello Pretty, that I know will look amazing somewhere in your home. The Hermes inspired leather mirror from Bibi’s Antiques is something very special and unique. If you like something different, go for this one.
This silver round mirror from Exclusive Mirrors will definitely bring a little glamour into your home. I love their abstract mirror as well, this will look good in any hallway.

The antique framed mirrors from Antiques Alive are full of character and will make any space look larger. The details on this copper mirror from Jeli are amazing, I love the rustic feel it gives.

We’re All About Stripes

Stripes are very much in fashion this winter and I thought why not extend this to other products as well? Stripes are fun and what’s great is the many different colour combinations you can put together. If you’re feeling a little festive there are products with all the colours of the rainbow in their stripes too.

I love this plain black and white striped toiletry bag from the Simply House store. Even your toiletries will be in fashion this winter.

This long digital tapestry from the Left Collective store would look amazing in any bedroom or I could even see it in a dining room.  I like the uneven stripes in simple black and white.

These days there are many different interpretations of stripes, they don’t just have to be the same old traditional pattern we first think of.  The large striped journal from Landi Khun is filled with unique stripes, I love how they are all over the place.

How cute are these blue and white chambray shoes from Luna Moon for a little boy? Your little one will be walking in style all day long.

Why not have a little party with these pink and white striped straws from Teelee? I love the light pink and white together and they could be the starting point of a great themed party. I must say I’m getting a few ideas for my birthday coming up!

Your Kid’s Room With Hello Pretty

I like the idea of neutral or pastel colours for decorating a kid’s room. I have chosen some beautiful and adorable products from Hello Pretty that will make a great addition to your kid’s bedroom. The products are all neutral, so any of these can be used in a boy or a girl’s room.

This colourful hot air balloon garland from the younghearts store is a good choice to bring some colour and fun into your kid’s room. I love the pastel colours.

Then there are the crochet floor cushions from PommePomme. The neutral colour is great for a girl or boy’s room. Perfect for bedtime stories.

How cute is the animals and tree wall art from the Custom Vinyl Art store? I love the African theme and the pretty colours.

The large cloud cushion from Sprouts Kids Co is ideal for your little one to snuggle into at night. They will be off to dreamland with their cloud cushion in no time.

I think the large wooden elephant carving from Hands Design Collective is so cute to put in a kid’s room as a décor piece. When they are older they could even play with it as a toy.

aFREAKa Onesies for Winter

With winter fast approaching I think it’s only appropriate to acquire a onesie to keep you warm. Why not have a little fun with it as well? aFREAKa Clothing designs and makes a range of fun and colourful onesies for adults and children.

The idea for the business came about when founder Ole, went on a road trip in a black cat onesie that he almost never took off. He found it to be comfortable and practical and many people enquired after the onesie, wanting one for themselves too.

aFREAKa clothing has two ranges; the first is the animal onesie range. These are made from polar fleece making them warm, comfortable and easy to wear. They have about 80 different characters or animals to choose from. The second range are the INYE onesies, these are made from 100% cotton and are a little more stylish.

What’s great is that they make onesies for children and for adults, so your whole family can keep warm and look awesome. I think the adult springbok onesie is perfect for the upcoming rugby games against Ireland next month, you’ll be warm and comfortable throughout the game.

There is a bit of mystery concerning what animal their logo is; can you guess it? As aFREAKa says, “Remember: winter is coming!”

Cool Plates on Hello Pretty

Are you tired of eating out of the same old boring plates from the kitchen cupboard? I’ve found some pretty cool plates on Hello Pretty that will bring something new and exciting into your kitchen. You could even display some of them if you wanted, they’re that cool.

These white plates from Sandy Godwin Clay Creations are taken next level with the wavy look and details, I think they would make any table look amazing. These nice legs dinner plates from BeKind are cute and unique and are bound to put a smile on your face.  They also make these love more plates, reminding us to give a little love every day.

How cute is this blue and white bunny plate from the Pink Orange Designs Store? They would be perfect for the kids. This is something completely different and exciting; the edge ceramic plate from Aaron Kearney Design, allows you to eat without a knife. How cool are they?

Furniture on Hello Pretty

Looking for new furniture? Do a little online shopping on Hello Pretty, I’ve found some great buys that are modern and exclusive.

I fell in love with this half-moon table in copper and gilt from reMake upcycled furniture store when I saw it.  With it’s beautiful green leather top it looks like a vintage piece, which I’m obsessed with. This will look perfect in any entrance hall or bedroom.

I love this fun and non-symmetrical Frama bookshelf from Simpli Décor. It doesn’t just have to be a bookshelf, but can house anything you want. A little tip from the sellers; the bookshelf makes a great room divider too.

The soft grey stool from Leg Studios is modern and I think these would look great around a dinner table for something a little different. The seat cover is made from felt and the different shapes accentuate the uniqueness of these furniture pieces.

Another must have from Leg Studios are these brass plated steel side tables. These will definitely give your living room or bedroom a fun and edgy look.

The four-drawer TV cabinet from The Pallet Collection is great because it’s made from upcycled wood and you can choose from a variety of stains. I love that it’s a solid piece with enough space for you TV, DSTV, DVD player and anything else you might need to put there.

If you haven’t realized, Mother’s Day is just around the corner. But don’t panic, I’ve got you covered with some awesome last minute gift choices from Hello Pretty. They won’t seem last minute at all, as they are that great. There is a little something of everything, depending on what your mom loves and I’m sure she will feel special.

Spoil mom this weekend with these stunning Halo rose gold earrings from WHYJewellery. You can never go wrong with a beautiful pair of earrings.

A handy sling bag is always a great idea for a gift, I love this clay sling bag from Created in Eden. A girl can never have too many bags, right?

Bath products are always a good idea, get mom the coffee fix set from Darling Jane. If she loves coffee and a nice bath, this is the perfect combination.

30 Gin and Tonic lollipops from The Lollipop League will last mom for a month, everyone needs a little sweet treat at the end of each day and what’s better than a Gin and Tonic lollipop?

I know my mother would love this beaded necklace from Blossom Handmade, the touch of black makes it a little different.

You’re welcome.

Unique Decor Pieces

I love how adding a small piece of décor into your home can really make a difference. With the interior decorating business booming, there are so many products available, meaning we can pick and choose from such a wide range. People are creating unique, interesting and fun décor pieces that will give your home that modern and fresh look.

I’ve found a few interesting décor pieces on Hello Pretty, that are different and fascinating and they could almost be classified as art pieces.

I love the hexagonal shelves from Drift and Pine, they are perfect for a little revamp. You can place other pieces of décor on them that were otherwise scattered around the room.  How cute is the Mr Bolt pipe lamp from Quanto -E -Bello for a boy’s room, it almost looks like a transformer!

Drift and Pine have another piece that is unique, fun and incorporates a bit of nature; the flower bud forest (penta table) is perfect for a coffee table. I think having coasters on a coffee table is very important and looks good too, I love the honeycomb coasters from Leg Studios.
These wall hooks from Lovilee are both functional and will look great in a bathroom, cloakroom or entrance hall!

I think it’s time to add a few pieces to my house, the hexagonal shelves are the first on my list.
